Remove the contributions of my deleted account

For people whose account was deleted: ask to remove what the account left.

If your account was deleted, you can still ask to remove its contributions. We check your email address, send you a code, then apply these rules:

  • Wiki edits: an edit is removed only if nobody edited the page after it (the page goes back to the version before). If the page was modified afterwards, the edit stays in the history, credited to a deleted user, so that the history and the CC BY-SA attribution of the later edits stay intact.
  • Forum topics and walls: removed if you are the only participant (nobody else replied); otherwise kept as "Deleted user".
  • Your replies: kept as "Deleted user" when someone else's reply quotes them or they are the accepted answer; otherwise removed.
  • Uploaded files: removed unless content that stays still uses them; those stay, without your name.
  • What the law makes us keep (identification and connection data, 1 year, readable only on a judicial request) is not removed.

We answer the same whether or not this address matches an account, and we never show what we find.
