## The kinds of items | Kind | What it gives | |---|---| | Weapons | Attack and bonuses. 7 styles: blade, spear, dagger, scythe, greatsword, hammer, staff. Each carries a [weapon art](/w/overrank/weapon-arts/overview). | | Armor | HP and damage reduction (light, medium, heavy or robe) | | Accessories | Stat bonuses (strength, intelligence...) | | Consumables | Potions and special items (boosts, summons) | ## Grade, rank and the forge Gear has a **grade** (F Trash to S Mythic, rolled on drop), a **rank** (the tier it comes from) and a **forge level**. The pages show the base values (rank E, Common, +0); the real stats are higher: see [Item formulas](/w/overrank/formulas/items-and-forge) and [Forge, market and gear](/w/overrank/guides/forge-and-gear). ## Where gear comes from - Guardians, chests, elites and mimics of rifts. - The market (what is in stock depends on your rank). - The battle pass, codes, daily rewards and rank-ups. - Seasonal merchants and invasions for the rarest editions (SP and EX). Looks only? See [Cosmetics](/w/overrank/cosmetics/overview).
