The ladder

Your rank is measured at the Awakened Registry. It depends on your level and on how many dungeons you cleared since your last rank. A rank is never lost.

How a step goes

Reach the level of the next rank.
Clear the required number of dungeons (any rift counts, ideally of your rank).
Talk to the Registry and ask for a re-evaluation. It is free and instant.
Collect the rank-up reward (shards, boosts, a better class weapon...).

What changes with your rank

Rifts: you can enter rifts of a higher rank, with better rewards (see rifts).
Gear: the market stocks better gear in rifts of rank A and above, and loot grades depend on your rank.
Titles and badges: each rank has its own title and badge.
Bonus points: ranks S+ and Nation give extra stat and skill points.

Levels and caps

The level cap is 100 for the Human and the normal classes, 999 for the special classes. XP needed grows with every level: see Leveling. Past level 100, the special classes still earn a stat point every 5 levels up to 150, every 10 up to 500 and every 25 up to 999. Milestone rewards give big gifts every 50 levels from level 250.
